A printed paper game board in the form of a map of Galicia, this delightful relic was included as a year-end bonus for young subscribers to the Polish-language children's magazine Mały Światek (Little World) published in Lwów (Lviv) in 1895, as a gift for the holiday of Mikołajki (St. Nicholas Day) celebrated on 5/6 and 18/19 December. Although misprinted, the game would easily be playable today – the instructions are included in Polish on the board. Play proceeds by rolling a die and moving markers around the board through more than 70 named Galician cities, with special rewards at important cities and penalties at railroad junctions. The winner is the first player to return to Lwów. This historic paper map is preserved by the Archiwum Główne Akt Dawnych (AGAD).
