A multi-color map in Polish and German languages of the Polish population density in Galicia, created by J. Spett and published by the Lwów bookstore B. Połonieckiego in 1910. A large and highly detailed folding map with geographic resolution of population measures to the community level including five levels of density. Overall the distribution of ethnic Polish populations before WWI is as expected: more than 3/4 of western Galicia and less than 1/3 of eastern Galicia. Some mapped individual community densities are surprising compared to Austro-Hungarian censuses of the prior decade, until accounting for the Jewish populations of those areas who self-declared as Polish nationality. This historic paper map is preserved by the National Library of Poland.
