A multicolor general plan and landscape map of Tarnów (Tarnow) produced under the direction of the Tarnów community office in 1931. The map shows all major streets and uses color and symbols to identify ten types of land use in the city and its surroundings; other colors symbols identify the heights of buildings and their use. The map was originally included in a 10-page booklet (here, from the collection of the National Library of Poland) with text taken from a recent monograph by Zdzisław Simche which tied street and square names plus significant buildings, gardens, cemeteries, etc. to the map grid, and included brief city statistics. This historic paper map is preserved by the US Library of Congress and digitally presented by the WIG Map Archive.
