A single-color annotated general plan and street map of Lemberg (Lwów, Львів, Lviv, Lwow, Lvov, לעמבערג) in Polish language, produced by Karol Wild in the city in 1871, "accounting for our new streets and squares". The map includes street names and indicates more than 60 buildings of civil, religious, and military importance. Depicted are the initial evolution of outer neighborhoods from farms and orchards to residential areas, the imperial military construction overlooking the city at the Citadelle, the significant rail lines and stations to the west and north of the city center, and the marked expansion of several major cemeteries around the city periphery. This historic paper map is digitally presented by the WIG Map Archive via Uniwersytet Śląski.
