Administrative Map of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (UkSSR) 1940

A full-color of large-format administrative map in Russian language of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (UkSSR, also URSR) created by the General Directorate of Geodesy and Cartography (GUGK) office of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (UkSSR, also URSR), following the invasion of former eastern Galicia in September 1939 and the formal annexation of the region three months later. Oblast borders are shown on the map as they existed on 10 September 1940 along with many cities and towns plus major roads and rivers. Scans of this historic map were sourced for Gesher Galicia by Mykhailo Zubar from the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (VNLU) in Kyiv.
