A neatly-designed map of Galicia and Lodomeria, with the Duchies of Bukovina, Oświęcim, and Zator, plus the Grand Duchy of Kraków, from 1872. The map was created by Władysław Miczyński for use in Polish-language schools; printing was by the firms of Zamarksi in Vienna and Pelara in Rzeszów. Hundreds of towns are depicted, plus cities and larger villages, major roads, rivers, and rail lines. The educational aspect of the map is enhanced by lists of major towns and cities, elevations of higher mountain ranges and towns, and selected historical and geographic details of the kingdom. Original copy of the map from the National Library of Poland; digital copy sourced by Areta Kovalska for Forgotten Galicia from the Polona Digital Library.
