Marieni Map of Galicia & Lodomeria 1833

A partly-colored administrative map of Galicia and Lodomeria created by Giovanni Marieni under the supervision of A. Campana. Originally published as part of an Italian atlas set, this map was derived from a Viennese original and partly translated into Italian language ("Galizia"). The map shows the outline of each internal administrative division (kreis, here labeled "circolo"), as well as significant towns, rivers, and roads, and a rough depiction of the major mountain ranges. Regional head towns and bishoprics are indicated by symbols. Single image sourced by Jay Osborn from the Polona Digital Library (an initiative of the National Library of Poland).
