Lithographed black & white map with dashed kreis (administrative circle) boundaries from an atlas of Europe published by Göschen of Leipzig about 1828, lithographed by Wilhelm Ernst August von Schlieben (1781~1839). This map covers five adjacent kreise of Galicia, numbered here with head cities of 6: Tarnów (Tarnau, Tarnow), including Ropczyce; 7: Bochnia, including Wojnicz and Wieliczka; 8: Wadowice (Władowice), including Żywiec and Oświęcim; 9: Nowy Sącz (Sandecz), including Nowy Targ; 10: Jasło (Jaslo), including Biecz and Kołaczyce. The map is small but sharp and well-detailed, and includes all major and many minor towns, key roads, rivers and lakes, and a scale bar in miles.
