Lithographed black & white map with colored kreis (administrative circle) boundaries from an atlas of Europe published by Göschen of Leipzig about 1828, lithographed by Wilhelm Ernst August von Schlieben (1781~1839). This map covers three adjacent kreise of Galicia, numbered here with head cities of 12: Sambor (Самбір, Sambir); 13: Stryj (Стрий, Stryi, Stry); 17: Stanisławów (Івано-Франківськ, Ivano-Frankivsk, Stanyslaviv, Stanislau). The map is small but sharp and well-detailed, and includes all major and many minor towns, key roads, rivers and lakes, and a scale bar in miles.
