A rough but complete full-color cadastral map of the town of Żywiec (Saybusch, Zhivitz, Zeibush), surveyed in 1844. This is an indication sketch created during the development of the final-stage cadastral map; this map includes house numbers as well as building and land parcel numbers. The dense central part of the town was drawn separately at double scale to better capture the details (we have copied and fit that at half size into the blank spot in the main map for reference). All of the features of the final, lithographed map are also present in this rough sketch, with the added research benefit that house numbers are noted on most buildings and land parcels. This historic paper map is preserved by the Bielsko-Biała Branch of the Polish State Archive in Katowice.
