A complete uncolored and partially-numbered cadastral revision map of Zniesienie (Знесіння, Znesinnia, Znieszenie) northeast of the Lemberg (Lwów, Lviv) city center and the castle hill, today a suburb of the city. The original lithographed map from a survey in 1850; this hand-sketched redline revision is from a re-survey in 1872, annotated with house numbers rather than tax parcel numbers. Several surveyors' notes and working sketches are also found on the map. The original lithograph shows a church dating from 1602/1758 and two Christian cemeteries. The revisions show Zniesienie's 1871 wooden synagogue, but the Jewish cemetery was established shortly after this sketch was made. This historic paper map is preserved by the Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv.
