Tłuste Center Cadastral Map Fragment 1899
One and a half panels of a cadastral map of the town center of Tłuste (Товсте, Tovste, Tluste) near Zaleszczyki, from 1899. This fragment shows the central market and residential sections of the town. The map is very worn, probably from field use, but includes both building and property numbers (where they are readable). Inked changes to property numbers and some land features suggest this copy was used to update a later edition of the map, or perhaps was a working copy for a local official. Changes in town between earlier Tłuste maps and this example (a 40-year span) can be analyzed, despite the poor condition of this copy. This historic paper map is preserved by the State Archives of Ternopil Oblast (Ukraine).
