Tartaków Cadastral Map 1854
A complete full-color map of Tartaków (Тартаків, Tartakiv) near Sokal and today in the Lviv oblast of Ukraine, surveyed and lithographed in 1854. This is a final-state cadastral map showing building and land parcel numbers but not house numbers, and with redline revisions from an undated later survey. In 1854 Tartaków had an interesting double-ring market square with a manor house and garden area to the north. Also visible on the map are a marked synagogue within its own square, both masonry and wooden churches, Jewish and Christian cemeteries, and an extensive network of canals feeding ponds and marshes. To the southwest is the former colony of Xawerówka (today Romanivka). This historic paper map is preserved by the Archiwum Narodowe w Krakowie.
