Tarnów Center-South Cadastral Map 1927 (I)
A partial cadastral map of the south-central business and residential areas of Tarnów (Tarnau, Tarna, Torne, טאָרנע), based on an original Austrian survey of 1848 and updated under the Second Polish Republic in 1927. This is one of two similar cadastral maps scanned for Gesher Galicia by the municipal office. Although worn, this black-and-white cadastral map is clearly marked with building and land numbers, and adds street names as they existed in the interwar period. Only one sheet of this map is preserved in the archive; this portion of town includes the historic center with city hall, churches and monasteries, synagogues, cemeteries, and the Jewish hospital. This historic paper map is preserved by the Wydział Geodezji, Grodzki Ośrodek Dokumentacji Geodezyjnej i Kartograficznej, Urząd Miasta Tarnowa.
