A complete uncolored map of the town of Szczakowa (Shtehkeva, Shchakova), today a northern suburb of Jaworzno, prepared for the German administration of occupied Poland in 1941 from an earlier survey. This is a final-state cadastral map showing building and land parcel numbers, with most building numbers marked with overlines. Added marking in green lines with red labels divides the town into sections for an unknown purpose. After the 1869 survey, Szczakowa grew significantly in both residential and industrial areas, serving the major rail exchange and local coal mines; during WWII there were POW and forced-labor camps in and around the town. This historic paper map is preserved by the Archiwum Narodowe w Krakowie.
