A complete uncolored cadastral field sketch of the town of Skałat (Skalat, Скалат, סקאלאט) southeast of Tarnopol near the eastern border of Galicia, re-surveyed and lithographed in 1862. This geographically precise map served as a base for an undated later sketched survey revision, annotated with house numbers rather than tax parcel numbers. Features include a large three-sided market square closed at the west end by the Skałat castle, a second informal square built around two synagogues, a large church and a smaller one next to the Christian cemetery, and the Jewish cemetery beside a road leading northeast from the market square. Property owners' names are written on many parcels. This historic paper map is preserved by the Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv.
