Podkamień Cadastral Map 1844
An complete full-color cadastral map of the town of Podkamień (Підкамінь, Pidkamin) near Brody in western Ukraine, surveyed and lithographed in 1844. This is a final-state cadastral map including land and building parcel numbers but no house numbers, with redline revisions from an undated later survey. The map is heavily worn, probably from the revision process, but most parcel numbers are legible. Features include a market square with many stalls, a fortified Dominican monastery, an unmarked synagogue, a château with gardens, both Jewish and Christian cemeteries, and a free-form symbol at the location of the stone for which the town is named. This historic paper map is preserved by the Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv.
