Krakowiec Cadastral Map 1849
A complete full-color lithographed cadastral map of the town of Krakowiec (Краковець, Krakovets) between Jarosław and Jaworów in north-central Galicia, today an important crossing point at the border between Ukraine and Poland. This is a final-state cadastral map including land and building parcel numbers but no house numbers, with many redline revisions from an undated later survey. Features marked on the map include a rectangular market center with a large church, a smaller triangular center with a large starred synagogue, a small wooden church, both Jewish and Christian cemeteries, a large marshy pond, and a dense neighborhood of wooden houses southwest of the market areas. This historic paper map is preserved by the Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv.
