A graphical record of damage during World War I to the town of Jaryczów Nowy (Новий Яричів, Novyi Yarychiv, Yartchev, Jaryczow, Jarychow), just east of the Lwów/Lemberg/Lviv urban area, surveyed while the war continued in 1917 and sketched shortly after. The map covers the entire residential and market center of town. This map records the property owners of shops and houses which were damaged, omitting buildings which suffered only minor damage. Compare this map to the related 1917 map of damaged buildings, which showed all townc enter buildings but marked the damaged ones in red, and to the 1850 cadastral map of Jayczów Nowy. This map with clear names is especially valuable to genealogists. This historic paper map is preserved by the State Archives of Ternopil Oblast (Ukraine).
