An early full-color cadastral map of the residential and business center of Janów (Янів Теребовельський, Yaniv), today called Dolyna (Долина) in the Ternopil oblast of western Ukraine, surveyed in 1828. Although only two sheets of the original map are preserved in the archive, those sheets cover the core of the village and include many important features: the developing market square, two churches and two labeled synagogues, Jewish and Christian cemeteries, and more. This is a valuable record, showing both house numbers and building parcel numbers, with many property owners' names written on larger parcels. This historic paper map is preserved and scanned by the Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv.
