A complete full-color map of the village of Gdów (G'dov) about 30km southeast of Kraków, surveyed and lithographed in 1847. This is a final-state cadastral map showing building and land parcel numbers but not house numbers, with redline updates from two undated later surveys documenting significant changes especially to land parcels near the river. The village center is organized along intersecting roads rather than in a conventional square, with a large church and parish grounds at one corner. To the north, the Christian cemetery marks a key location of the Battle of Gdów (part of the Kraków Uprising) just one year before the survey, which resulted in 150 rebel deaths in the village. This historic paper map is preserved by the Archiwum Narodowe w Krakowie.
