A fragment of an early full-color cadastral map of Czortowiec (Чортовець, Chortovets) near Obertyn, surveyed in 1825. Only one and a half sheets of the original map are preserved in the archive, covering the western half of the village where residential and commercial buildings still closely follow the meandering Chortovets River. This map is fascinating partly due to its near-200-year age and partly due to the significant preservation of historical building stock in the village, including the 18th-century wooden Church of the Holy Trinity. The map shows both house numbers and parcel numbers, with many property owners' names written on larger parcels. This historic paper map is preserved and scanned by the Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv.
