A full-color map of the city of Chrzanów (also Kshonev, Krenau) west of Kraków, surveyed in 1848 soon after the city was re-incorporated into Galicia. This is a final-state cadastral map showing building and land parcel numbers, with later multi-colored revisions to incorporate railroad rights of way and many land parcel boundary changes. Streets surrounding the compact market square feature a church and monastery plus the 18th-century Great Synagogue (now lost). Christian cemeteries are visible to the north and south of the square; two parcels to the south and adjacent to the rail station are marked as Jewish cemeteries (still signed and maintained today). This historic paper map is preserved by the Archiwum Narodowe w Krakowie.
